I am a teacher, single, and love art. Is there somewhere in Colorado that I'd fit in?

You might want to try the Berkeley neighborhood. It's got a lot of new young blood, so to speak, and has really changed a lot in the last ten years. It's sort of Denver's new hot spot, without being too close to downtown. There's a small art district near 44th and Tennyson, lots of parks with lakes (and a doggie park), and it's close to the mountains.
