I'm thinking of getting a dog but am not sure what it will be like in the city, we're in the West Village off Christopher St. Any thoughts?

On Sundays you see lots of people walking their dogs in a special area of Washington Square. I'll try and get some video!

I knew someone with a great dane in a very small apartment. They said it was better than having a small dog in an apartment because the big dogs are more sedentary. If you are by christopher st there may be a dog run in the Hudson River Park?
