An awesome place for visiting

I was there on the 1st of January and stayed at the Plaza hotel. This place is very near to the White House, the Obelisk, and lots of other monuments. Its absolutely great to have a walk around the place. If you are planning to go there, please do not use a car because you will not be able to enjoy...

I traveled up and down this street for a long time while in college, it really has everything here, well for a college student to survive. Off this street is several shop to buy clothes, original restaurants of my favorite school in the world Howard University. But this street also has personality....

27th Street on Rose Park

I just bought a rowhouse on the park. I like this section of the street as it is not a through street like P or Wisconsin. Quieter. Plus it is right across from the park. It also has good proximity to M Street shopping, very close, but still appears very residential.

Vernon St. is right between the 3 best areas in my opinion in DC. Its closest to Adams Morgan which is just up 18th street, next to U street, and also Dupont Circle North. Great urban location, but has the normal urban downsides

13th Street is much more residential than 14th Street or 17th Street, but all the amenities of those areas and U Street are only a few blocks away. 13th street is lined primarily with rowhouses, as opposed to condo buildings. The metro is at 13th and U, very convenient.

I live up the hill a little across from the park which is really nice. There is definitely a fair amount of traffic on 16th St since it is a major road into the city, but the advantage is that taxis are really easy to get most of the time.

A little far from the metro, but the 42 runs through the neighborhood
My car has been broken into, but I've never heard of someone being attacked on the street. Overall its a good place to live- all the services of a city on a tree lined street. And the conveince store has a good wine selection.
