"An even better 5th Avenue!"
Park Slope is really beautiful. There are brownstones and trees and an old timey feel. It's a great place for families which is probably why there's a stroller brigade in this neighborhood. I spent a lot of time here last spring and the area around 5th Avenue is so quaint and has a great energy. Plus, there is shopping that rivals the 5th Avenue in Manhattan! Unlike, Manhattan's 5th, however, all of the stores are boutiques. They are really specific and just darling. There are specialty paper shops like Scaredy Kat and upscale men's stores like Oak. But, the women's clothing selection is really spectacular. Diana Kane and Eidolon are great for vintage inspired wear, but my favorite is Goldy and Mac. Everything in that store is beautiful. All of these boutiques are within a few steps of each other and you are surrounded by old buildings and a lot of green. A shopping day on 5th Avenue Park Slope is really lovely.
But, that's not all. There are a ton of restaurants and bars on 5th Ave as well which makes this street the most lively in Park Slope. There are always people milling about and the street has a great energy. Union Hall is probably the most renowned of the bars and it's definitely for a reason. There is always something fun going on in this bar and it is never empty. Because there's such an energy to this street, it's no wonder that many Manhattan Eateries have made their Brooklyn outposts on 5th Ave. Blue Ribbon and Mary's Fish Camp both have restaurants here. And, there is just about any kind of food lining this one avenue.
The architecture is really beautiful too. There are a ton of brownstones and almost no high rises. Whenever you step off the train, you feel like you're in a part of New York that didn't age. It's like the Pleasantville part of New York and it's really gorgeous.
The only things that can be not so hot about 5th Avenue is that it is a bit of a hike away from the city. So, if you live in Manhattan, it's a pain to get there. And, if you live around 5th Avenue, it's hard to motivate to go into the city so you can isolate yourself. Oh, and the strollers. It's not an exaggeration: they are everywhere.

"Great vibe, lovely street"
The thing that's great about 5th Avenue in Park Slope is that there is something to do - or buy - no matter what your mood or interests have you craving. There is a lot of excellent second hand and vintage shopping to be had, and you can get everything from a surprisingly decent burger at Aperitivo's brunch for $9.95 to some first class sea bass at Al Di La.
The street itself is rather like a long shopping strip, and stays that way until you find yourself leaving the neighborhood of Park Slope. Then it becomes rather residential, and not nearly as lovely. Down in the Windsor Terrace/ Sunset Park area of the street you may not have the same amenities as you find in Park Slope, but this area is quiet and close enough to the good life to make it a great street to live on.

"Best Place for Bars"
I couldn't love 5th Avenue, located in the neighborhood of Park Slope in Brooklyn, NY more! There are so many areas to go, I could walk up and down this avenue for hours!
One of my favorite places to go would be Gingers Bar on 5th and 5th. It is a smaller lesbian bar with pool in the back. It's a great place to go for Happy Hour and has a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. The bartenders are friendly and accommodating!
I love the restaurant Nana's that serves Japanese food. Their sushi is amazing and I have gone there many times to dine and wine with friends after work.
And of course, there is the infamous Southpaw located on 5th Avenue as well. I have seen many concerts there, including Tegan and Sara, my favorite band ever. And across the street is Keyfoods, a great supermarket to go to get some healthy food!
All in all, this is a fantastic street and is definitely worth visiting!

"Nice Street to hang out in"
5th Avenue in Bay Ridge, is a typical Bay Ridge street where you can find a mix of brand name stores/resturants and smally shops and Delis. I don't know about other areas where this street might extend to. The traffic in this street is fairly normal. It's neither quiet nor congested. In this street you can find the municipal parking garage. Also the Bay Ridge branch of USPS is well located in this street. in the upper streets (the 90's) you can find KFC and Staples. Subway, Burger King, and Dunkin Donut are here on 5th Avenue of Bay Ridge. A lot of 99 cents stores and middle eastern Hala meat shops are situated in this street between the 70's and the 80's.

"amazing place to live."
This street is a very clean, friendly and cute place to live. There are many cafes and shops to choose from and it is close to other shopping such as groceries and things. I could not think of a better place to live and work than on this street.

"Cute place to live!"
Our friends that we visited lived off of Fifth Avenue in a small apartment. This was an awesome neighborhood. Many young families with a few eateries scattered through out. They told us that this neihgborhood was fairly new and very up and coming. Clean, safe, friendly and great for people of all ages.

"On 5th Avenue"
This street is very well connected. The entire neighborhood has a lot of wonderful things going on, between shopping and restaurants. I think that this is a wonderful area to live in. Basically, Brooklyn has everything Manhattan has, it's just a little more sprawled out. All in all, a great street in a great neighborhood.

"5th Avenue Is Great"
This street is filled with restaurants, stores, shopping and fun. Park Slope is a fantastic neighborhood filled with so many amenities, it's hard to go far. There are plenty of housing options and places to go. I love this section of Brooklyn because it is chalked full of things to do and there are parks. It's filled with great housing as well, so this is a prime area to live if you're thinking of moving here from another part of the city. All in all, a great neighborhood.

"On 95th Street"
This area is a bit run down and is definitely not a place I would recommend for living options. The nearby streets capture most of what’s going on in this neighborhood, as this street is mainly residential and is not all that exciting. There are a few small business and things of that nature, but not much to write home about.

""Hip, Fun , Fresh Nieghborhood""
5th avenue in Brooklyn is a a long strip of small boutiques, shops, and other neighborhood services. The area which is in Park slope is home to many families and is a residential area for young adults just starting out on their own as well. Some of the stores in the strip include a Brooklyn Industries, Luscious Food, and many deli's and cafes.
On any Saturday, one will see people pushing babies in strollers and young toddlers just old enough to walk, to the park or to the nearest ice cream shop. The area has many restaurants, which many of the couples can also enjoy.
The area ,being residential also has all the services it needs including banks, nail salons, and supermarkets. With everything at a person's hands, they won't ever have to travel out the neighborhood on any occasion.
