79th St, Bay Ridge

On 79th Street is primarily a residential street, with some small businesses and shops. This neighborhood was lively and pretty. There wasn’t as much noise here as on the other streets, though this differs from Avenue to Avenue. This long street is very well accessible as there is a metro stop on nearly every avenue it runs through. In terms of food or fun, I don’t think you’ll be in luck here, but in terms of some nice housing options, you might be in luck. I liked this street, and think that the neighborhood has a lot to offer its residents as well as visitors.

My best friend of 26 years still lives on this block. Not much has changed. Great place for a family atmosphere! Huge supermarket right across the street. Little well known shops in walking distance. Liquor stores, bakery, speciality shops, mass transit in walking distance.
