"Quiet street by the beach."

47th avenue is similar in many ways to the other streets in the Sunset District. The Sunset District tends to be very homogenized in terms of housing architecture. However, those that are a few blocks from the beach differ slightly in that there are stairs outside leading up to the front door of the home. Living on 47th avenue is very convenient in that the 18 bus line just runs a block away. Parking is relatively easy. It is relatively quiet on this street in any given day. There is no real nightlife since there are no clubs, restaurants, or parks on this street, but once you walk off of it and onto cross streets such as Taraval, you will be able to find convenience stores and such. This is a good place to raise a family.

"Typical avenue but close to the beach."

47th avenue is a great street to live on. It runs close to the beach through both the sunset and Richmond districts. Housing styles range slightly within the neighborhoods. Apartments, houses and condos are all available. The most exciting aspect about being on this street is definitely the fact that Ocean Beach is so close. This street is a typical numbered avenue; the houses and neighborhood’s attitude are basically the same in whatever area you are in. This street also crosses big streets with bus lines that can take you almost anywhere, like Judah, Lincoln, Clement, California, Geary and more. 47th avenue is a straight shot all the way down, excluding the detour to get through Golden Gate Park which you will need to get onto the Great Highway to cross that.

"Close to the Park and the Beach!"

In the San Francisco's Sunset district, this street is well located to both Golden Gate Park and the beach.

The street consists mainly of 1 or 2 storey attached houses, many have been beautifully restored. There are some great beach cafes and restaurants nearby.
