"34th St and Vernon Blvd - Very Nice"

If you like parks, you will find one at the corner of Vernon Blvd and 34th St. The park is located behind a fence, but it is very beautiful. It is actually the highlight of the area. One place I wouldn't mind going to when in the area.
Pros
  • Beautiful looking area
Cons
  • Too many kids around during summer

"between 31st and Steinway"

34th street, between 31st Street and Steinway has a movie theatre, Unos, Applebees, the Museum of the Moving Image, a strip joint ;) Starbucks, two gyms, and a really great diner called Cup, as well as a couple of places to get a few drinks. It's the perfect spot for any date-type-scenario. You've got the traditional dinner-and-movie, simple diner for booths and chatting, risque stripper date, intellectual museum, or work-out date!

"On 37th Street"

Similar to other streets in the neighborhood, 37th Street is a nice street in a quaint neighborhood. With small service-oriented businesses, friendly people, and a few tress, this street could be one to consider on a move to Queens. I like the idea of living here, if and only if it is still easy to get to midtown Manhattan, which from this section of Queens isn’t terribly inconvenient, but isn’t as easy as it is on other streets. Also, having a car on this street might be something worth considering.

"On 35th Street"

Like many of the streets in this neighborhood, there really isn’t anything exciting going on. Most of the street is residential and the only businesses are small service oriented businesses. This section of Brooklyn doesn’t really have much to offer in the way of food or fun, but for its residents, I think that proximity to the BQE, along with the nice housing options, make this street one to remember.
